From May 23rd to 30th, 2025, Dr. Du Junzheng from the Vector and Vector-borne Diseases Group was invited to attend the International Virus Assembly Symposium in Alghero, Italy. This year, approximately 100 participants attended the conference.Experts and scholars from 14 countries including the United Kingdom, the United States, China, Japan, Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Austria engaged in in-depth academic exchanges. The conference covered various aspects including virus structure, receptors and entry, virus replication and assembly, maturation and release, as well as virus vaccines and antiviral drugs. It basically covered the latest progress in virus assembly research. Dr.Du presented an academic poster titled "Visualization and Tracking of Fluorescent-Labeled NS1 Protein of Bluetongue Virus" at the conference and had in-depth discussions with the participants. This conference not only provided insights into the forefront of virus assembly research but also facilitated connections with international and domestic research peers, laying a foundation for future collaboration and exchanges. This symposium was initiated by Professor Polly Roy from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in 1995 and is held every three years. It has been successfully held for ten consecutive sessions.
