On May 17th, delegation from Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing including ZHANUZAKOV DANIIAR ZHUMABEKOVICH, Director of the Department of Food Security and Head of the Department of Decision-Making Executive Board, DAVYDOV ERMYRZA, Director of the Department of Informatization and Public Services, and ANARBEKOV ISKAK ANARBEKOVICH, Chief Expert in Processing Industry, visited Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute (LVRI), Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) and affiliated companies, China Agricultural VET.BIO. Science and Technology Co., Ltd.(CAVET) and Lanzhou Shouyan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (LSBIO). The delegation first visited the National Key Laboratory for Animal Epidemic Disease Control, the vaccine production workshop of CAVET and LSBIO. Prof. Yuefeng Chu, Director of the Pathogen Biology Research Center, introduced LVRI, CAAS. Subsequently, the Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Agriculture delegation held discussions with the institute's scientific research and industrial representatives. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Guangliang Liu, Director of the Science and Technology Management Department. Liu welcomed the Kyrgyz delegation and proposed strengthening collaboration in animal disease control. Dr. Xuerong Liu, Deputy General Manager of CAVET introduced the company's strengths in the research, development, production, and sales of products for animal diseases like Foot-and-Mouth Disease, and the achievements in disease control in China. Prof. Tao Jiang, Deputy General Manager of LSBIO, introduced the features and advantages of the company's products. ZHANUZAKOV DANIIAR ZHUMABEKOVICH, the head of the Kyrgyz delegation, congratulated on the institute’s achievements in controlling diseases like Foot-and-Mouth Disease and expressed gratitude for the cooperation on the CAASTIP project. He hoped for enhanced collaboration in transferring disease control products, academic exchanges, and personnel training. He also invited the institute's delegation to visit Kyrgyzstan. During this exchange, Dr. Hongbin Yan, Associate professor, presented the research content, progress, and further cooperation plans of the project “International Science and Technology Innovation Program of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAASTIP)” led by the institute. This visit further strengthened the scientific cooperation between the institute and Kyrgyzstan.
