Jiang Tao , representative of Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (LVRI,CAAS) and Lanzhou Shouyan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (LSBIO) went to Pakistan, to participate in the academic and enterprise delegation of ‘China-Pakistan Training Forum of Major Livestock Disease Control’, led by Prof. Dr. He Cheng of China Agricultural University.
Dr. Jiang Tao was invited to give topic report of technology and Application of Diagnosing Major Livestock Diseases in China on ‘Training Forum on Livestock Disease Control’ in : University of Vererinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore and Department of Pathology, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.
On November 15-16, at Dairy Asia Expo, Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute's wholly-owned company- Lanzhou Shouyan Biotechnology Co., Ltd., as the only diagnostic reagent manufacturer in China, received warm welcome and attention from the organizers and exhibitors. On behalf of Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute and Lanzhou Shouyan Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Dr. Jiang Tao conducted in-depth industrial communication and exchanges with local aquaculture groups and vaccine production and sales enterprises, reached an intention on the co-construction of diagnostic laboratories and product import and export trade. Meanwhile, she was participate in the listing activities of two co-construction laboratories. Chinese Consul General Mr. Zhao Shiren attended the ‘China-Pakistan Training Forum of Major Livestock Disease Control’ held in Lahore as the guest of honor, and awarded a certificate to Dr. Jiang Tao. After meeting, Mr. Zhao affirmed the role played by Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute, in the prevention and control of agricultural animal husbandry and major diseases in Pakistan, and said that he would fully support and promote the stable and orderly development of animal husbandry in China and Pakistan. Both the Lahore and Faisalabad conferences received significant attention, from local mainstream media and published relevant news to support China-Pakistan academic and corporate cooperation in the livestock industry.
During 8-day trip to Pakistan, Dr. Jiang Tao conducted business exchanges with a number of local enterprises. She visited INTERLOOP Co., Ltd., Lahore's largest dairy farming group, and participated in the launch of the joint laboratory of Royal Cell Biotechnology and Islamabad Enterprise. At Dairy Asia Expo, Dr. Jiang Tao had one-on-one meetings with many local enterprises and traders, she felt their strong demand for vaccines and diagnostic reagents for foot-and-mouth disease, brucellosis and lumpy skin disease. Through this exchange visit, we hope to establish a new channel for foreign trade of Chinese veterinary vaccine and diagnosis enterprises, open up the integration of technology and industry in the developing countries of the ‘Belt and Road’, and help the common development of China-Pakistan animal husbandry.
