Screening the compounds with Type I interferon inducing properties

内容简介：IFNs play a critical role in the host defense against virus and parasites. Any molecule with the ability to modulate the innate immune system by promoting the synthesis of IFN would have potentially dual application as both an antiviral and a vaccine adjuvant. Our objective is to find a drug-like molecule capable of stimulating the synthesis of IFN. In addition, we research the molecular mechanisms of RNA virus induced type-I interferon. Methods include luciferase reporter assay, RNA transfection, immunoprecipitation, bioassay or plaque assay, neutral red viability assay.
