2016年3月13日至14日，应口蹄疫流行病学团队张克山副研究员邀请，日本京都大学Watanabe教授，Umemura教授，Li RuiBo博士及Narita博士一行四人访问我所并做了题为“Development and exploration of antivirus compounds and functional materials from lignocellulosic biomass for sustainable society”的学术报告。报告会结束后Watanabe教授等人就课题合作与相关科研人员进行了深入交流，达成了初步的合作意向。

　　Pro.Takashi WATANABE is a Vice Director and Professor of Research Institute for Sustainable Humanosphere (RISH), Kyoto Univ. He received bachelor, master and doctor degrees from Kyoto Univ. As a visiting scientist of Institute of Biochemical Technology and Microbiology, University of Technology, Vienna in 1996-1997. He is a Fellow of International Academy of Wood Science (IAWS). His group major research interest is lignin-degrading mechanisms of wood rot fungi and conversion of lignocellulosic biomass into biofuels, chemicals and functional substances.
