  BioMed Research International

2012年IF为2.880。

  MicroRNAs in Immunology

  Call for Papers

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are one subtype of small endogenous single-stranded RNAs and have been found to be extensively expressed in animals, plants, and viruses. These RNAs are involved in gene regulation via targeting the untranslated regions of cognate mRNAs, giving rise to the translation repression or decay. Increasing evidence has shown that miRNAs play a role in numerous biological processes, such as development of immune cells and immune responses to infection and disease occurrence. Knowledge of miRNAs in immunology is expanding so fast and broadening our understandings in this field.

In this special issue, we take a great interest in studies on miRNAs in immunology. Particularly, papers that deal with functional investigations of miRNAs are welcome. Cutting-edge reviews relevant to this topic are also considered. This special issue will bring our communities the most recent ideas and advances in this field. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  ·                                 miRNA expression profiling in immune cells or organs

  ·                                 miRNAs in immune cell differentiation, proliferation, or homeostasis

  ·                                 miRNA-oriented immune networks in disease or during infection

  ·                                 miRNAs as immunological biomarkers

  ·                                 miRNAs in autoimmunity and immune tolerance

  ·                                 Immune responses against miRNA-harboring constructs or miRNA antagonists

Before submission, authors should carefully read over the journal’s Authors Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/bmri/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System athttp://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/bmri/immunology/micro/ according to the following timetable:
